Step 2: What type of equipment do I need?

Specific equipment is required for ARD's who wish to engage in autobody repair, or who wish to service and repair automotive air conditioning systems. In addition, ARD's who are seeking a station license for Smog, Brake, or Lamp must possess specific equipment for each of those licenses.

For additional information on this requirement, you may wish to view the corresponding California Code of Regulations (CCR) (Smog Check Station Equipment - CCR 3340.16, 3340.16.5, Brake Adjusting Station - CCR 3340.21, Lamp Adjusting Station - 3316).
